Areas of Practice
Robin has been a patent prosecutor for over 10 years, primarily in the fields of electrical and software engineering related to analog and digital circuits, computer hardware and software architectures, telecommunication systems, and signal processing. His practice today emphasizes patent procurement as well as preparation of opinions and general patent counseling for small to mid-sized companies, universities, as well as some large corporations. Examples of technologies he has addressed include processor and memory system design, compiler technology, VLSI design, wireless networks, distributed Internet applications, communication protocols, speech processing, video compression, robotic systems and surgical devices, and navigation, guidance and control systems.
Professional Experience
Prior to founding Occhiuti Rohlicek & Tsao LLP, Robin was a Principal at Fish & Richardson P.C. Before entering the patent field, Robin served as Vice President of R&D as well as Vice President of Engineering at two Boston area companies and directed government and commercial R&D in algorithm development and integration for embedded systems, personal computer and telecommunications applications.

Has published over forty articles in the areas of system modeling, signal processing, and pattern recognition.
