Lian's practice focuses on patent prosecution in the areas of nanotechnology, materials science, pharmaceuticals, organic/polymer chemistry, medical devices, and semiconductors. Lian has also assisted in preparation of opinions on patent infringement and validity, and management of patent portfolios.

Professional Experience
Prior to joining Occhiuti Rohlicek & Tsao, Lian was a technology specialist with Fish & Richardson P.C.

Lian's research experience at Harvard University focused on nanostructured materials and her thesis was titled "Synthesis and Characterization of Functional Nanostructures."
