Dr. Hao's practice focuses on patent prosecution in the areas of biotechnology, bioinformatics, physics, and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Hao has extensive experience in preparation of opinions on infringement and validity of patents and management of patent portfolios. Technology areas include: biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, chip-array technologies, biomaterials, nanotechnology, drug discovery, protein structure prediction, immunology, antibodies, vaccines, tissue engineering, RNA technology, gene- and cell-based therapies, diagnosis and treatments for various disorders.

Professional Experience
Prior to joining Occhiuti Rohlicek & Tsao, Dr. Hao was a technology specialist with Fish & Richardson P.C.

Dr. Hao was previously a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Stuart Orkin at Harvard Medical School/Children's Hospital/Howard Hughes Medical Institute. His research focused on stem cells, genomics, molecular development biology, and genetically engineered animals. Dr. Hao received his doctoral training in neuroscience, cell biology, molecular biology, and molecular genetics in the laboratory of Dr. Peter Cserjesi at Columbia University.
